We are looking for a skilled talent acquisition specialist who is a key member of the HR team and responsible for sourcing, attracting, and interviewing prospective employees to find the perfect match to fill Umbra's open and future positions. They will also be required to promote our brand with recruitment initiatives and events.


To be successful a talent acquisition specialist, you must have experience as a recruiter and the ability to attract the perfect candidate for each role. You also must have great interpersonal skills and be a people advocate. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out all coordinating and interview scheduling 
  • Work with internal teams and hiring managers to assist with their hiring needs
  • Be attuned to the hiring needs of the company and contribute to its success by hiring talented candidates
  • Perform sourcing to fill open positions and create pipelines for future needs
  • Evaluating applications as well as facilitating pre-interview assessments
  • Exceptional ability to screen candidates, compile shortlists, and interview candidates
  • Manage requisitions and Applicant Tracking System 
  • Deliver internal training on up to date best practices and processes
  • Take steps to ensure positive candidate experience
  • Help lead employment branding initiatives
  • Work with the HR team in employee retention and development
  • Organize career fairs and other networking events
  • Use metrics to create reports and identify areas of improvement
  • Partner with HR on hiring needs, meeting business objectives and developing hiring strategies


    Basic Qualifications

    • Strong knowledge of hiring best practices and processes
    • Proven experience in full-cycle recruiting and sourcing
    • Experienced in coordinating and interview scheduling 
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Strong knowledge of employment law & general HR
    • Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems
    • Needs to be passionate about people


    Desired Qualifications

    • Experience in employment branding
    • Proficient in the use of social media and job boards
    • Experience in Talent Acquisition strategies
    • Certification obtained from the HR Certification Institute would be advantageous
